***Description***
“College Day Reflection” is a reflection paper about my part in the College Day event at Pitt Greensburg. The College Day event was a day for students with exceptionalities to engage in STEM activities set up by the students at Pitt Greensburg. I worked with 3 others to set up a snap circuit booth for the students to learn how electricity worked. Students would come to the booth and build a circuit with our help. The circuit, once built, would light up a lightbulb. This was very fun for the students and they seemed to enjoy it very much.
***Rationale***
This artifact shows my commitment to ethical practice and professional learning. In planning a booth at College Day, I collaborated with my peers to create a fun and hands-on learning experience for the students. Throughout the event, I demonstrated integrity, patience, and respect with the students by connecting with them and teaching them through the activity. The artifact also shows my self reflection and evaluation through this experience and how I will use both to shape myself into a better teacher who is inclusive in the activities I will create for my own classroom one day.
