## ***Letter to Parents*** ***4c. Communicating with Parents*** The teacher communicates with families and caregivers frequently and with sensitivity to culture and equity, utilizing various modalities to provide information on student progress and school activities. ***InTASC Standard #10: Leadership and Collaboration*** The teacher seeks appropriate leadership roles and opportunities to take responsibility for student learning, to collaborate with learners, families, colleagues, other school professionals, and community members to ensure learner growth, and to advance the profession. ***Description*** This artifact is a letter sent home to parents for my field placement in Early Field Experience. It is written in a fun and professional manner that clearly and concisely explains what I’ll be doing in the classroom and why. It is designed in a fun and friendly manner as well showing some fun facts, my experience, and why I want to be a teacher. ***Rationale*** This artifact demonstrates my ability to communicate with parents and guardians in a professional manner. It shows that I take an appropriate approach when sending materials home to share and considers that not all students are going to be giving this to their parents and may just have a guardian or caregiver. This artifact also shows my willingness to communicate with parents and guardians in a frequent manner to both discuss what is going on in the classroom and how it can benefit their student. ![[4c.png]]
